Some might call me crazy for doing this, but last week I decided I am going to go over the current TS guide and tidy it up a bit. I'll be honest -- the last guide was a bit rushed as it sort of 'just happened', and before I knew it, I had 18,000 words. Also, I hate to say it, but I haven't actually looked at the guide in the 6 years since I wrote it! Boy does it need work!
This new version I aim to slim down on the word count a fair deal and make the tone a bit more neutral. With most TS players I guess 'less = more', and that amount of words can be kinda intimidating. The main core of the guide will stay the same, but I am cutting down on all the 'extra' info in there so it's far more streamlined.
Ok... so to the point. Part of my plan with TS guide v4 is to make it available not just as a download, but also with a live version for viewing via my ts blog as a permanent resource for the ts community. I hope will have the twofold effect of a) giving players no excuse not to have easy access to descriptions on how to do thing like 1-shot and *scout*, but also b) to increase the digital footprint of TS-related material on the internet. I'm slowly working my way up google for the term 'ts blog', but I'd like to push higher up with terms such as 'ts guide' etc.
In terms of time-frame, I'm about half way through a first-draft edit. I've cut 2-3k from it so far, and have improved a few of the descriptions. Hopefully as I don't have my Uni work to do at the moment, I aim to have something ready for proofing say by the end of July.
If you have any (sensible) suggestions for additions to the guide, or things you'd like covered, please post below. Also, if you fancy being a proof-reader, give me a shout :-)
